The Arizona Baseball Academy Lessons

Our individual instruction is personalized for each player and we take the time to understand all aspects of the individual, their skill level, and their personally desired goals. Our year-round approach to instruction provides both in-season and off-season focus. We encourage our players to participate in additional sports throughout high school, to further enhance their overall athletic ability. By providing instruction throughout the entire year, our player's physical and mental skill levels will continue to increase and their knowledge of the game in turn will also continue to grow, even when they are not playing regularly.

Each instruction session is scheduled for 1 hour, focusing on skill and strategy, mental growth, and mastery of core fundamentals. Our instructors take the time to explain and demonstrate drills, and discuss what each drill will accomplish. A well rounded, fundamental player will always have something to fall back to, especially when the going gets tough. As mastery of the core fundamentals increases, advanced concepts will be introduced.

Our instruction professionals will cover hitting, pitching, and all the defensive positions. Rarely will you find this amount of wealth in baseball knowledge and experience available for one to learn. We offer a free 15 minute session for you to evaluate our knowledge and make an educated decision on whether we know the game inside and out. Existing program participants are eligible for discounted instruction rates for new client referrals. Please ask the staff for more details.

The Break Down Of Our Lessons

Individual Instruction

Our one-on-one, customized training is perfect to meet your individual goals. You will receive our Hands-on demonstration and instruction with one of our professionals for a full 1 hour training session. Depending on your area of focus, our instructors will evaluate what you need to work on, and then assist you in working through drills and other activities to mastery. At the conclusion of the 1 hour training session, the player will get “homework” drills to work on at home. Baseball is a game of repetition, one hour a week is never enough. Our goal is to teach your athlete so one day they will no longer need us to.

Group Instruction

Training for groups of 2 - 4 players are focused on those activities that can be understood and worked on in small groups. There is less time to focus on each individual in our group training so these sessions are very productive if you have groups of players that need instruction in the same areas. These sessions are still hands-on with plenty of demonstration and feedback. It also gives the players a chance to analyze someone else’s mechanics, realize the differences, and put their improvements into action.

Clinics

Specializing in hitting, pitching, or catching for players to get the instruction that they need, but also be with their peers to work and help each other focus on different drills. All the while getting individual and group attention from a group of professional instructors.

Vision Training &/or Hitting Lessons

Specific drills with the Vision Training machine that help players see the ball in the hitting zone. Also, a combination of hitting and vision training is available to see the ball better and be fundamentally sound while doing it. We also offer a money back guarantee if your player is not seeing colors and numbers on the ball at the designated speed for his/her age. Go to the Vision Training link to find out more.

Evaluations, Analysis, and Feedback

Our program continually evaluates players to be able to provide instruction specific to each players needs. Our instructors talk to our players to understand how they are performing, what they are experiencing, and why they think things are happening. By having these exchanges with our players, they begin to understand correction in mechanics, adjustments, and it gives the players a growing bank of information to apply when needed.
